FEEL LIKE GOING TO THE THEATRE AND SHARING A UNIQUE EXPERIENCE WITH A GROUP OF YOUNG PEOPLE?
The “Restez FIT !” project, part of the FIT Festival, aims to strengthen the cultural participation of you older people and create opportunities for socialising.
With this project, you are not only spectators of a cultural event, but you also become “protagonists” of an inclusive project, which allows you to participate “in the first person” and play an active role in the cultural reality. We will welcome you into the festival, with precise roles and assignments: as spectators, critics and jury members, interacting with a dozen young people.
Elderly and young people will form the ”Wise Jury” and the ”Youth Jury” called upon to discuss and evaluate youth performances together. In an exchange of opinions, feelings and emotions, you will then choose the winner.
This experience had a profound emotional impact on me: both the joy, the wisdom, and the curiosity were ingredients that made my heart skip a beat.
The young people filled me with energy. I had the opportunity to admire their skills, commitment, enthusiasm, and the empathy they also conveyed to me.

HOW THE PROJECT WORKS
PARTICIPANTS
We are looking for about ten older people who are interested in theatre and ready to experience it with a group of young people aged 16-21 over five days.
DATES
* Preparation: half-day on Sunday 26 September 2026 (2.30-4.30 pm).
* Intergenerational tandem: 5 meetings from 4 October to 9 October 2026 (4 half days during the FIT Festival).
WHAT TO DO
* Theatre Shows: 4 shows to be seen in the morning or afternoon of a maximum duration of 1 hour with a meeting with the group before and/or afterwards.
* Radio & Lunch: During the lunch break you go together to the festival restaurant (lunch offered) and if you want you participate in the radio broadcast.
PLACES
* Theatre shows at Teatro Foce Lugano.
* Radio broadcast and lunch at the Festival restaurant (Caffè Bistrot Grande, Via Carducci 3, Lugano).
