The Keep FIT with Radio! youth project is part of the FIT Festival Internazionale del Teatro e della scena contemporanea which has taken place every year in Lugano for more than 30 years.
The attention that the FIT curatorial and organizational team has shown in all these years towards the inclusion and awareness of the young public, and not only, towards the artistic scene continues.

One of the key projects on the new generations side is the young radio.

Keep FIT with Radio the radio project associated with the FIT Festival, is a daily critical voice in which to collect testimonies, offer the public a fresh look at the festival and broaden the participation of young people in contemporary culture.

Every year a group of young people, between 16 and 22 years old, are called to form the Jury and the Youth Radio, broadcast on Radio Gwendalyn every day of the festival with a mini pop-up radio studio set up at the nerve center of the FIT. Present on the field and live on DAB+ and the web, the Youth Jury watches the shows to conduct critical round tables in which to discuss the themes and contents of the festival and decides the winner of the “Young & Kids” competition section.

The KFWR project aims to bring young people living in Ticino closer to contemporary theatre, through dialogue and live discussion, two characteristics that radio and theater have in common. The goal is to train kids to develop a critical eye towards shows that goes beyond “like it or don’t like it”.
The shows will be analyzed in their dramaturgical aspects, in the messages contained, in the form and the sensations that emerged, with particular attention to the interviews with the artists and the audience.

For several years now, Keep FIT with Radio has also been PLUS. Everything we do during the FIT Festival is extended.
Boys and girls continue their experience during the year following some appointments of the LAC Theater Season. A lineup of different appointments, always following the same modalities, gives continuity and completeness to the project that brings young men and women closer to the theatrical experience in all its facets.
