Marina Otero was born in Buenos Aires in 1984. She is a director, performer, author and teacher.
She created the project Recordar para vivir, which is based on the construction of an endless work on her own life. Some of her shows such as Fuck me, Recordar 30 años para vivir 65 minutos and 200 golpes de jamón Serrano have been presented in several countries including Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Peru, Chile, Argentina and Singapore.
For Fuck me she received the ZKB Audience Award at Theatre Spektakel festival in Zürich in 2021. With Recordar 30 años para vivir 65 minutos, she won the prize Mejor Dirección en Danza at the Bienal de Arte Joven 2016 (Buenos Aires) and a scholarship for the “Watch and talk” programme at Theatre Spektakel.
As a teacher, Marina Otero coordinated workshops and creation seminars in Europe and South America.
