Livia Rossi, born in Milan on January 20, 1993, studied at the Alessandro Manzoni Classical High School. She later trained at the “Quelli di Grock” school and the Oltreunpo’ Theatre Study Center, before graduating in 2017 from the “Luca Ronconi” School of the Piccolo Teatro di Milano. She made her stage debut in Uomini e no, directed by Carmelo Rifici.
In film, she worked with Gianni Amelio in L’intrepido (2013) and Hammamet (2020), in which she played the role of Bettino Craxi’s daughter. She later appeared in La ragazza ha volato (2021) by Wilma Labate and L’uomo senza colpa (2022) by Ivan Gergolet.
In the theatre, she was both actress and co-author of Les Liaisons Dangereuses in 2022, directed by Carmelo Rifici. Together with the director, she reinterpreted the famous epistolary novel by Choderlos de Laclos through a contemporary lens, weaving in texts by Pasolini, Nietzsche, Weil, Dostoevsky, and Artaud.
That same year, she co-wrote and performed in Personne, chroniques d’une jeunesse alongside Ugo Fiore and Federica Furlani. The project won the Forever Young call promoted by La Corte Ospitale. The piece, a dark fable dealing with memory, childhood, and trauma, premiered in Milan in March 2023 and was later staged in Lugano.
Also in 2022, she took part as a dramaturg in the theatre project Bloom!, developed during a residency led by Leonardo Lidi and supported by La Corte Ospitale.
