Agrupación Señor Serrano is a theatre company based in Barcelona that creates original productions about discordant aspects of today’s human experience. Señor Serrano’s shows blend live feed video, scale models, text, performance, sound and objects. The company productions premiere and tour internationally.

At present, the core of Agrupación Señor Serrano – as stated on their website – is composed by Àlex Serrano (President of the Republic), Pau Palacios (Prime Minister) and Barbara Bloin (Chief of Staff), supported by Paula S. Viteri (Fixer) and David Muñiz (Hammer). Besides them, for each production the company counts on the essential collaboration of a cross-disciplinary and variable creative team. Over the years, many creators have joined the company’s projects, leaving a durable mark: Diego Anido, Ferran Dordal, Jordi Soler, Lola Belles, Alberto Barberá, Anna Pérez Moya, Roger Costa Vendrell, Nuria Manzano, Alexandra Laudo, Jofre Carabén, Martí Sánchez-Fibla, Claudia Solano Watson, Vicenç Viaplana, Gabriel Parés, Maria de la Cámara, Isabel Franco, Ester Forment, Susana Gómez, Sebastián García Ferro or Josep Maria Marimon among many others. In addition to the Silver Lion at the 2015 Venice Biennale, other important awards include the Premi Ciutat de Barcelona de Teatre 2017 and the Premi FAD Sebastià Gasch d’Arts Parateatrals 2016, the Premio de la Crítica de Barcelona as Mejor Espectáculo de Nuevas Tendencias for A House in Asia in 2014 and Birdie in 2016.
