Co-founded in 2005 by François Gremaud and Michaël Monney, the association 2b company has built up over the years a repertoire of original creations consisting of shows and small formats, theatrical or otherwise (films, publications, songs…). Considered by critics as one of the most innovative theatrical companies in French-speaking Switzerland, holder of two Contrats de confiance with the City of Lausanne, it tours successfully in Switzerland and abroad.

Some productions are signed by the GREMAUD/GURTNER/BOVAY collective (KKQQ, Récital, …), composed of François Gremaud, Michèle Gurtner and Tiphanie Bovay-Klameth, others by FRANÇOIS GREMAUD (Simone, two, three, four, Re).

The administration and the diffusion are assumed by Michaël Monney since 2006.

François Gremaud is an author, director and actor based in Lausanne. After studying at the Ecole cantonale d’Arts de Lausanne (ECAL), he trained as a director at the Institut National Supérieur des Arts du Spectacle (INSAS) in Brussels. His stage proposals play with a skilful literalness and a consummate art of the absurd from concrete and apparently conventional situations. But each time it is a question for him of staging the pleasure of the theater itself, this “living art which does not cease to celebrate the deep joy of being in the world”.

François Gremaud received the Swiss Theatre Award in 2019 and the Grand prix – Arts vivants from the Fondation vaudoise pour la culture in 2022.
