BIANCA BERGER

PERFORMER and CHOREOGRAPHER

Bianca Berger was born in Locarno in 1998. After having attended the 1-year pre-education at the Copenhagen Contemporary Dance School and the training at Studio XL in Reggio Emilia, she obtains a Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Choreography at the Danish National School of Performing Arts in Copenhagen under the direction of Rasmus Ölme. At the same time, she studies Mathematics at the University of Bologna remotely.

From 2019 to 2022 she takes part as a dancer in the productions of Samuel Feldhandler (For Five, Copenhagen), Manon Siv (Hammering, Copenhagen and Aarhus), Renan Martins (FLASH MOB, Copenhagen) and Matija Ferlin (Students of insistence, Copenhagen), in a school context. In 2022 she performs for Michele Rizzo (Field Interlace, Prato) and Jernej Bizjak (UP-AND-DOWN, Roskilde) In 2022 and 20233 she performs for Parini Secondo (SPEEED). She collaborates with the documentary filmmaker Ömer Sami on various projects. 

In 2022 Bianca begins the project fermati. Its first form is a 20-minute performance that was presented in Copenhagen and selected for Aabent Lab in Roskilde (DK), Vetrina della giovane danza d’autore eXtra in Ravenna (IT) and for InciDanse in Fribourg (CH). In September 2023 she premièred with the performance fermati al limite (the new form of the project fermati) at the Teatro San Materno in Ascona.

She is an artist of ExtraTimePlus 2023 – 2024. In this context, she has created an original production, called Bi-tà (presented at FIT 2024).

Together with Larissa Lischetti she is co-founder of the association l’Arca. They created two site-specific performances: L’Arca e Pila (self-produced) and Terraferma conpasso (at Territori Festival in Bellinzona). They also conduct site-specific workshops.
