Roberta Bosetti was born in Vercelli and graduated from the University of Turin in Theatre History. In 1984 she began working as an actress at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan under the direction of Giorgio Strehler. After a work at the Festival delle Colline in Turin with IRAA Theatre company, she moved to Melbourne in 1996, where she and Renato Cuocolo presented Interior Sites Project in 2000, which then travelled to twenty-six countries on four continents as author and protagonist. Cuocolo/Bosetti became Australia’s leading innovation company. Roberta has received numerous awards including UNESCO Awards (USA), Green Room Award, MO Award, Cavour Award (Australia) and in 2015 Premio Hystrio (Italy). She was nominated four times in the Green Room Award, Australia’s top accolade, for Best Actress.
She teaches at the Scuola del Teatro Stabile di Torino, and holds courses for the DAMS – Drama Art and Music Studies in Bologna and the ERT – Emilia Romagna Theatre school.
