A YEAR-LONG FESTIVAL

The collaboration with the LAC theatre season continues throughout the whole year.

Un Festival lungo un anno, A year-long festival, has become a way of acknowledging and recognising artistic practices that can be summed up in one word: contemporary.

The FIT Festival is well-known to its fans. It stands out from everything that happens in the theatrical scene in Ticino.

It stands out for a consistent choice, made for many years now, which is to create a container that has the need to place itself in a  learning perspective, of theoretical and practical elaboration around what we call, for simplicity and convention, the contemporary scene.

It stands out because a festival is also, and above all, productions, workshops, monitoring, meetings, special projects and many other hybrid actions.

It stands out because it manages to have a plural outlook that promotes contemporary languages and poetics. It detects traces of artistic and design methods that are outside of customs and conventions, in order to present them to an increasingly wide and transversal audience.

So, this year too, within the 2025/2026 season of the LAC, we have identified shows that for staging methods and artistic choices are certainly in line with the FIT.

We give you a heartfelt recommendation and invite you to follow these artists that we appreciate.

In 2022, the synergy between FIT and LAC gave origin to the LAC+ membership. You can purchase it again this year for access to all FIT performances and the 2025/26 season of the LAC Theatre.

Riccardo III

In this reinterpretation, Latella goes beyond the image of Richard as a “monster”, deformed in body and therefore in heart. Today, evil can no longer hide behind a hunchback or a cripple: it is Life, Nature, Seduction.

TRICKSTER-P

Common land

SWITZERLAND
World premiere

Trickster-p continues to investigate artistic devices that break the traditional relationship between stage and audience. Common land is an invitation to slow down, to lose direction in order to rediscover a deeper sense of belonging. It is a journey through the different dimensions of our own fragment of the world—a shifting cartography of space and time, where the visible and the invisible coexist and cross paths with the subjects who dwell within it.
