The latter has been rewritten by actress and playwright Livia Rossi, who reinterprets it in light of recent history, placing it in dialogue with the writings of Anna Politkovskaya and Svetlana Alexievich, both deeply involved in the narrative of war, and with <em>Evgenij Onegin<\/em> by Pushkin, a seminal work of Russian literature.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abThis diptych opens a new phase of work in the field of pedagogy in theatre \u2013 explains Rifici. It is intended as an opening towards a different way of imagining paths with young performers that does not involve the finished form of a conventional theatre play. What does it mean for young people today to work on \u010cechov &#8216;s opus while maintaining a lively dialogue with literature? Can we ask \u010cechov to address the issue of Russia, of Europe today? We were educated on the great Russian literature, whose major authors have always been fertile ground in theater schools.
