{"id":15465,"date":"2023-09-06T14:43:35","date_gmt":"2023-09-06T12:43:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/fit.latitud46.com\/?post_type=fit-artisti&#038;p=15465"},"modified":"2026-05-15T15:15:06","modified_gmt":"2026-05-15T13:15:06","slug":"daria-deflorian","status":"publish","type":"fit-artisti","link":"https:\/\/fit.latitud46.com\/en\/fit-artists\/daria-deflorian\/","title":{"rendered":"DARIA DEFLORIAN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After being a finalist in 2011, Daria Deflorian won the prestigious Italian theatre award <strong>Premio Ubu 2012<\/strong> as best actress for <em>L&#8217;origine del mondo<\/em> by Lucia Calamaro (at FIT 2015) and for <em>Reality<\/em> (at FIT 2013), the play written and performed with Antonio Tagliarini. In 2013 she was awarded the <strong>Premio Hystrio<\/strong>. As an actress, in her career she has worked with Stephane Braunscweig, Massimiliano Civica, Lotte Van Den Berg (Netherlands), Valentino Villa, Lucia Calamaro, Marco Baliani, Fabrizio Arcuri, Mario Martone, Martha Clarke (New York Theatre Workshop), Remondi and Caporossi, Fabrizio Crisafulli, Marcello Sambati, among others. She was assistant director for Mario Martone, Pippo Delbono and for <em>Anna Karenina<\/em> by Eimuntas Nekrosius.<\/p>\n<p>Her latest personal productions were: <em>Manovre di volo<\/em> by Daniele Del Giudice (2001), <em>Torpignattara<\/em> for the <em>Petrolio <\/em>project (2004), <em>Corpo a corpo<\/em> in collaboration with Alessandra Cristiani (2007), <em>Bianco<\/em> from the poems of Azzurra D&#8217;Agostino (2008). Since then she has been working with her artistic partner Antonio Tagliarini. The first work born from their collaboration was <em>Rewind<\/em>, an homage to Pina Bausch&#8217;s <em>Caf\u00e9 M\u00fcller <\/em>(2008). In 2009 they staged a work loosely inspired by Andy Warhol&#8217;s philosophy, <em>from a to d and back again<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Between 2010 and 2011 Deflorian and Tagliarini worked on the project <em>Reality<\/em>, which, starting with the diaries of a Cracow housewife, gave rise to two works: the installation\/performance <em>Rzeczy\/things<\/em> (2011) and the play <em>Reality<\/em> in 2012, a work for which Daria Deflorian won the <strong>Premio Ubu 2012<\/strong> as best lead actress. In the fall of 2012, they began work on <em>Ce ne andiamo per non darvi altre preoccupazioni<\/em> (at FIT in 2014) with the artistic collaboration of Monica Piseddu and Valentino Villa. The show won the <strong>Premio Ubu 2014<\/strong> as best Italian novelty or dramaturgical research and in 2016 the <strong>Critics&#8217; Prize<\/strong> as best foreign performance in Quebec, Canada. In 2014 Daria Deflorian coordinated the didactic and performative project on the theatre work of Peter Handke (<em>La terra sonora, il teatro di Peter Handke<\/em>) for La Sapienza University in Rome. Also in 2014, with Tagliarini, she created <em>Il posto<\/em>, a site-specific work for the Boschi-Di Stefano house-museum in Milan.<\/p>\n<p>In 2015 Daria Deflorian was invited to Paris as a resident artist at the th\u00e9\u00e2tre La Colline where, in addition to presenting her projects as part of the Festival d&#8217;Automne, she worked as an actress in the version of <em>I giganti della montagna<\/em> by Pirandello directed by St\u00e9phane Braunschweig. In the summer of 2015, she presented with Antonio Tagliarini an open-air performance, produced by Teatro di Roma, along Via Marconi in Rome, <em>Quando non so sapere cosa fare cosa faccio<\/em>, loosely inspired by the film by Antonio Pietrangeli <em>Io la conoscevo bene<\/em>.<em><\/p>\n<p><\/em>In 2017, Daria Deflorian participated in the Radio3 radio programme <em>Ad alta voce<\/em> with the complete reading of <em>Il diario di Anna Frank<\/em> directed by Lorenzo Pavolini. In the role of Ginevra she then worked for the Sky television series written and directed by Niccol\u00f2 Ammaniti, <em>Il miracolo<\/em> and in the film by Alice Rorwacher, <em>Lazzaro Felice<\/em>. With Monica Demuru and Monica Piseddu she created <em>Memoria di ragazza, una lettura e qualche canzone <\/em>from Annie Ernaux. The same year, <em>Il cielo non \u00e8 un fondale <\/em>(at FIT in 2017), by Deflorian\/Tagliarini with the collaboration of Francesco Alberici and Monica Demuru, premiered at the Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de Vidy in Lausanne, and was then presented in Rome for the RomaEuropa festival and in Paris in the Odeon season again for the Festival d&#8217;Automne. The show won the <strong>Premio Ubu 2017<\/strong> for best set design.<\/p>\n<p>In 2018 two new works were presented: <em>Scavi<\/em>, a shared performance of Deflorian\/Tagliarini with Francesco Alberici, and the show <em>Quasi Niente<\/em>, presented at LAC Lugano as part of the FIT Festival.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2020, their theatrical adaptation by Deflorian\/Tagliarini of the text <em>Chi ha ucciso mio padre<\/em> by Edouard Louis, with a performance by Francesco Alberici, had its debut at Festival Vie in Modena.
