His work focuses on the processes of dissecting, demystifying and re-contextualising content in order to confront definitions of validity and contemporaneity.<\/p>\n<p>After completing his studies at SUNY Purchase College in New York, he had the opportunity to work with many different choreographers in New York City, including Kyle Abraham. For his work with Kyle Abraham in <em>The radio show<\/em> he received the New York Dance and Performance <strong>Bessie Award<\/strong>. Jeremy Nedd has been living in Europe since 2010, where he was a permanent member of the Dresden Opera until 2012 and then of the Basel Ballet until 2016.<\/p>\n<p>A rising figure in the Swiss choreographic landscape since 2017, Nedd has devoted the start of his career as a choreographer to knocking down the walls within contemporary dance, by considering the creative work of today in a peripheral manner. He has presented his choreographic works in Dresden in the context of JUNGE CHOREOGRAF:INNEN, at Theater Basel in the DanceLab productions and at Theater ROXY in the context of the young talent format Mixed Pickles.<\/p>\n<p>At FIT in 2018 he presented <em>Communal Solo<\/em>, a work in which he blurs the boundaries between performer and spectator by trying to create something very similar to his own idea of a collective experience in a theater space.
